My Favourite Poetry Anthology
A lot of people are intimidated by poetry, but what most of these people fail to realize is that the vast majority of contemporary poetry is very reader friendly. You don’t have to read Renaissance sonnets or T.S. Elliot to enjoy poetry.
Along this line of thinking, I wanted to recommend to you my favourite poetry anthology. The Poetry of Our World is an amazing collection featuring writers from across the globe. The anthology covers not only English speaking poets, but those from Asia, Africa, China, Japan and more. The translations are all wonderful, and the featured poets really are some of the best in the world.
This was one of the first poetry anthologies that I bought, but over the past few years it has continued to be my most thumbed volume. Whether you are a long time lover of poetry, or just getting started, this book will serve you well.
