Resources for Writers
Recently someone asked me where they could find magazines that would be receptive to their style of writing. I thought that I would post some of my favourite resources on here.
http://www.placesforwriters.com/ is a site that posts calls for submissions. This means that magazines looking for a specific type of writing will often post their requests on this site. They also post a lot of contest information.
Another really great resource is http://duotrope.com/ It is a search engine that allows you to type in details about your piece (genre etc.), and generates a list of magazines that are appropriate places for you to send your work.
