There are quite a number of styles of yoga, and their similarity to pilates will vary. If you want something that is close to pilates, than you will probably have the most success with a more physical practice, as opposed to a restorative or meditative based style. I don’t have a huge base of knowledge concerning the many types of yoga, but I think you are probably interested in Ashtanga yoga. Alternatively, you may be able to find dvd’s or classes that specifically incorporate pilates elements into the routines. Wow, really enjoying this blog at the moment, I did a search and found it, so glad! I have just started with Yoga, and I love what I’m reading here! How similar is pilates to yoga though, just wondering?

I don’t think the site ships to Canada. However, I was able to order them on Amazon.ca. Shipping was expensive as usual. I paid about $13 for shipping four dvd’s over (aprox $60 before shipping.)
