Smile
Thanks for all the well wishes! It was lovely to open up my computer this morning and receive so much love :) I can feel that I’m still fighting against a cold, and it seems like my body is working to stop my fibromyalgia from flaring. However, I do think I will be better soon. I am a little anxious and excited about starting classes again, and I think once they get going I will be able to relax better.
I spent a fair amount of time yesterday doing meditation because I was feeling so much anxiety. I know a lot of people think meditation is kind of strange, but honestly, it really does help. I got a coupon yesterday for a free yoga class at a local studio (hurray!), so I think I’m going to take a Yin Yoga/Meditation class next week. I’ve never actually done meditation while being guided by someone else, so I’m curious to see how that experience unfolds.
One wonderful thing about today is that I am so much less stiff than yesterday. As a result, moving is a lot easier, my muscles are more relaxed, which means less pain.
A quick meditation for you right now: Wherever you are, take a minute to think of something in your life worth smiling about. On the anniversary of 9/11, it is especially important to take some time to be grateful for all of the gifts in your life.
