One Other Point

Out of my past four or five doctor’s appointments, today’s was the first one that didn’t end with me having blood taken. My arm was very happy not to be poked :) I have what are apparently called “ropey veins” which means that even though my veins look good, they tend to move around (or flop over or something) when people try to take blood. The result is that I get poked A LOT as my veins try to be evasive.

Just something I was happy about :) A needle free day :)

ps. Is it embarrassing that after all this time I still can’t watch as they stick the needle in? If I see it, I get scared…not like it hurts that much (especially considering the constant pain I live with). I’m scared of getting stung by bees for the same reason…what is it with me and pointy things?

I have a fear of fiber glass shreds. they’re so tiny and you can barely see them and all you feel is this annoying itchy pokey feeling that won’t go away forever. Last week, i found out that if you pick up a prickly pair you get the same spikey fiber glass shreds. a food hurt me.

so in answer to your question, no it’s not embarassing.
